Thomas Hal Phillips (11 October 1922–3 April 2007) was an American actor and screenwriter.
Born in Corinth, Mississippi, he graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State College in 1943. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He earned a master's degree in writing at University of Alabama in 1948. He then taught at Southern Methodist University and wrote books, resigning to assist his brother's unsuccessful bid for Mississippi governor.
He died in Kossuth, Mississippi.
